Tropical Wave #13 cross the country this thursday
july 10th, 2019.
Diagnosis: This Thursday will be crossing the tropical wave # 13 on Costa Rica, modulating the time in the national territory. At this time, the tropical wave is located on Panama, foreseeing that it enters the country during the early hours of this Thursday.
Forecast: Scattered rains are expected in the early hours of the day in the North Zone and the North Caribbean, mainly near the border sector. However, the instability caused by the passage of the tropical wave will reinforce the afternoon rainfall in the Pacific and Central Valley regions. The rains are expected to spread in the early hours of the night on the Pacific coast.
Due to the above, the IMN recommends:
? Caution in areas with vulnerability to flooding due to sewer saturation, due to the increase in flow in rivers and streams, and in places with a high propensity for landslides in general, mainly in the Caribbean and North Zone.
? Shelter in a safe place in case of listening to an electrical storm or perceive strong gusts of wind near the storm clouds, as well as caution for possible fall of branches of trees, power lines among others.
? Be attentive to the issuance of the IMN weather warnings that are published in: Twitter: @IMNCR, Facebook: National Meteorological Institute, WEB page: www.imn.ac.cr
