General comment

The Saharan dust mass will be moving away from the country, marking the beginning of a period with a gradual increase in atmospheric moisture. While this increase will become more noticeable by Friday and into the weekend, rainfall is still expected to remain generally scarce on Thursday. In addition, trade winds will remain moderate in the morning and are expected to weaken by the afternoon. In the morning, partly cloudy skies are expected, with scattered showers possible in the Caribbean and Northern Zone, while the rest of the country will experience mostly clear conditions. During the afternoon, isolated showers are expected over the mountainous areas of the Central and Southern Pacific. There is also a chance of very localized showers in the western part of the Central Valley and in the southern portion of the Nicoya Peninsula in the North Pacific.
