General Review

The Intertropical Convergence Zone is very active over Costa Rica, which will favor the occurrence of very heavy rainfall during the afternoons and nights in the Pacific. To a lesser extent, there will be rainy activity in the Central Valley and Northern Zone, as well as in the mountains and surrounding areas of the Caribbean. It is expected that within the forecast period the rainiest days will be Friday and Saturday.

On the other hand, tropical wave #21 is expected to enter the national territory on Saturday, favoring atmospheric instability in the country.

Forecast

Mornings: Variable cloudiness. Possible rain/showers in coastal and surrounding areas in the Pacific and Caribbean during the first hours.

Afternoons: Heavy showers with thunderstorms in the Pacific. Variable rains in the Central Valley and Northern Zone, as well as in the mountains and surrounding plains of the Caribbean.

Nights: Partial to total cloudiness. Rain/showers in coastal areas of the Pacific, fog in the Central Valley.
