Weather forecast

Friday, July 04, 2025

The trade wind intensity will continue to decrease this Friday; however, in the early hours of the day, it is expected to remain strong enough to continue carrying moisture toward the country. Due to this, the Caribbean and Northern Zones are expected to once again experience a morning of variable cloudiness and scattered showers, although of lesser intensity and duration than previous days. Scattered showers with thunderstorms are expected for the afternoon and early evening on the Central and South Pacific slopes, while the Central Valley and Guanacaste have a chance of short-lived showers in mountainous areas and surrounding areas. The Caribbean and Northern Zones are projected to have a lower chance of rain during this period. The decline in the trade winds will be more noticeable during the afternoon and is expected to remain weak through the weekend.
