Aviso Meteorológico

Fuertes condiciones ventosas en todo el territorio nacional

16 de marzo de 2020

Diagnóstico: Como consecuencia de la alta presión atmosférica que se registra en el Mar Caribe, se mantienen ráfagas de viento de hasta 90 km/h en la Cruz, Guanacaste y hasta 70 km/h en el Valle Central.

Pronóstico: Se espera que hoy persistan los vientos fuertes en el centro y norte del territorio nacional generados por el sistema de alta presión, con tendencia a la disminución paulatina en el transcurso del día martes, sin embargo, se prevé una semana ventosa.

Todo el día continuarán las condiciones ventosas en el Pacífico Norte, Valle Central y cordilleras, con ráfagas máximas entre los 50-75 km/h en las partes bajas y entre 75-90 km/h para el norte de Guanacaste y las montañas del país. Además, en el territorio nacional se mantiene bajo el contenido de humedad, lo cual propicia un ambiente seco con muy pocos desarrollos de nubosidad y consecuentemente condiciones muy calurosas a lo largo del día.

Debido a lo anterior, el IMN recomienda:

 

  • Extremar las precauciones por vientos fuertes y su posible afectación de techos, cableado eléctrico, rótulos, árboles; así como en las partes montañosas del país (parques nacionales, volcanes).
  • Precaución para las embarcaciones por mar picado y muy fuerte oleaje en el Pacífico Norte, Golfo de Nicoya, el Mar Caribe, así como a la navegación aérea por turbulencia sobre los sectores montañosos.
  • Evitar quemas de todo tipo ya que pueden salirse de control.
