Heavy downpours west of the Central Valley and in sectors of the Pacific

June 01, 2020

Discussion: Local factors such as the high temperatures registered this morning and the entry of humidity from the maritime sectors are generating showers and thunderstorms this afternoon, the most intense west of the Central Valley, as well as in sectors of the Pacific. The highest accumulated are registered in San Ramón with 70 mm, Orotina 64 mm, Parrita 87 mm, Finca Damas 135 mm, among others.

In the North Zone, mountains of the Caribbean and North Pacific, isolated rains and showers are expected with accumulated between 25-50 mm.

The rains will extend to the first hours of the night, mainly in the Pacific regions, with accumulated between 10-40 mm. High probability of fog banks in the Metropolitan Area and mountainous sectors during the night period.
