Aguaceros fuertes en el Pacífico esta tarde

Diagnóstico: La cercanía de la Zona de Convergencia Intertropical, así como la inestabilidad atmosférica presente son factores que favorecen las precipitaciones vespertinas de fuerte intensidad.

Pronóstico: En la tarde de hoy viernes se presentarán lluvias de variable intensidad y aguaceros fuertes localizados, en la Península de Nicoya, cercanías al Golfo de Nicoya, así como en el Pacifico Central, se estiman montos entre 20-80 mm en períodos de 6 horas.

Para el Valle Central, Pacífico Sur y llanuras del norte de la Zona Norte, prevén aguaceros muy aislados pero fuertes, en el caso específico del Valle Central en el extremo oeste del mismo (zona como Orotina, Atenas, Palmares, Puriscal, ruta 27, etc.), con acumulados de 5-45 mm en 6 horas.

En las regiones del Caribe se tendrán condiciones nubladas sin precipitaciones de significancia.

Advertencia: Especial atención en el Pacífico Sur y Zona Norte, así como al oeste del Valle Central, ya que se mantiene alto porcentaje de saturación de suelos.

Debido a lo anterior, el IMN recomienda:

  • Precaución en zonas con vulnerabilidad a inundaciones por crecidas de ríos y quebradas, así como en sectores propensos a deslizamientos.
  • Prevención por ráfagas de viento y su posible afectación de techos, cableado eléctrico, rótulos, árboles; así como en las partes montañosas del país (parques nacionales, volcanes).
