Diagnóstico: La cercanía de la Zona de Convergencia Intertropical está generando condiciones atmosféricas húmedas e inestables propicias para la presencia de nubosidad y precipitaciones, principalmente durante las horas de la tarde y noche.
Pronóstico: En horas de la tarde y primeras horas de la noche se prevén lluvias y aguaceros con tormenta eléctrica en el Pacífico Central y Sur, se estiman montos entre 25-50 mm. Por su parte en el Valle Central, Península de Nicoya, así como en sectores montañosos del Caribe y la Zona Norte se esperan lluvias y chubascos aislados con posible tormenta, acumulados entre 10-30 mm.
En el transcurso del periodo nocturno pueden manifestarse lluvias de variable intensidad en las regiones del Caribe y la Zona Norte, las cuales incluso pueden extenderse a la madrugada de jueves, acumulados entre 30-60 mm.
Debido a lo anterior, el IMN recomienda:
- Precaución en zonas con vulnerabilidad a inundaciones por saturación de alcantarillado.
- Refugiarse en un sitio seguro en caso de escuchar tormenta eléctrica o percibir fuertes ráfagas de viento cerca de las nubes de tormenta, así como precaución por posible caída de ramas de árboles, tendido eléctrico entre otros.
