Onda tropical #20 pasa sobre Costa Rica este martes

14 de julio de 2020

Diagnóstico: Desde este mañana la onda tropical #20 está cruzando Costa Rica, y ha generado lluvias durante la madrugada en el Zona Norte y el norte del Pacífico Norte. Los montos registrados en estos lugares no superaron los 15 mm en este periodo.

Pronóstico:  Por la tarde, los aguaceros se concentrarán en el Pacífico Central y el Pacífico Sur debido a la onda tropical; se prevén montos aislados entre 30-60mm y máximos de 90 mm de forma puntual en estas regiones. En lugares como la Península de Nicoya y el oeste del Valle Central, los montos rondarán entre 15-30 mm y máximos 40mm.

Para la noche habrá lluvias dispersas en la costa pacífica, con montos se estimados entre 10-20 mm y máximos de 25 mm en este periodo.

Advertencia: Especial atención en el Pacífico Central y el Pacífico Sur, debido a que en estas regiones se ha dado la mayor afectación esta mañana.

Debido a lo anterior, el IMN recomienda:

  • Precaución en zonas con vulnerabilidad a inundaciones por aumento de caudal en ríos y quebradas. 
  • Refugiarse en un sitio seguro en caso de escuchar tormenta eléctrica o percibir fuertes ráfagas de viento cerca de las nubes de tormenta, así como precaución por posible caída de ramas de árboles, tendido eléctrico entre otros.
