Lluvias al final de la tarde y primeras horas de la noche

Diagnóstico: Como se ha venido mencionando, la Zona de Convergencia Intertropical está localizada cercana al país. Esta tarde se han registrado aguaceros fuertes aislados con una actividad eléctrica intensa en el Valle Central, Zona Norte y Pacífico Central.

Los acumulados máximos de lluvia por región son los siguientes: Zona Norte 43 mm, Pacífico Norte 20 mm, Pacífico Central y Sur 40 mm, Valle Central 40 mm, Caribe 60 mm.

Pronóstico:  Al final de esta tarde la actividad lluviosa se mantendrá aislada con tormenta en las montañas del Caribe y Zona Norte, así como en la vertiente del Pacífico y Valle Central con lluvias variables, probables bancos de neblina. Se esperan acumulados entre 5-25 mm en periodos de 3 a 6 horas.

Durante la noche se espera que disminuya significativamente la posibilidad de lluvias y tormenta a nivel nacional, el sector que tiene más potencial de precipitaciones fuertes y aisladas en este periodo es la península de Nicoya, el Pacífico Central y Sur.

Este inicio de semana se anticipa un repunte de la humedad y de las precipitaciones en el país.

 

Debido a lo anterior, el IMN recomienda:

  • Precaución en zonas con vulnerabilidad a inundaciones por saturación de alcantarillado, aumento de caudal en ríos y quebradas, además en sectores propensos a deslizamientos.
  • Prevención en rutas nacionales como: ruta 1, ruta 10, ruta 27, ruta 21, ruta 32, ruta 34, ruta 141 y ruta 126.
  • Refugiarse en un sitio seguro en caso de escuchar tormenta eléctrica o percibir fuertes ráfagas de viento cerca de las nubes de tormenta, así como precaución por posible caída de ramas de árboles, tendido eléctrico entre otros.
