Fuertes vientos en el país con lluvias en Limón y Zona Norte

Diagnóstico: un sistema de alta presión sigue provocando fuertes vientos alisios en el territorio nacional. Las ráfagas más intensas el día de hoy en Guanacaste han sido de 115 km/h y de 80 km/h en los sectores montañosos del Valle Central. Además, se presentan lluvias intermitentes en Limón y Zona Norte, las cuales se proyectan como lloviznas o lluvias débiles al norte y este del Valle Central.

Pronóstico: durante la mañana y tarde se mantendrán condiciones de vientos fuertes con máximas entre 80 km/h a 120 km/h en Guanacaste, por otro lado, en el Valle Central y montañas de la cordillera central se presentarán vientos moderados a fuertes con ráfagas máximas entre 50 km/h a 85 km/h. Se prevén lluvias intermitentes y aguaceros aislados en el Caribe y Zona Norte, con acumulados entre 40-80 mm en 12 horas. Además, permanecerán las lloviznas intermitentes en el Valle Central y zonas aledañas a las cordilleras en el Pacífico Norte y Central. Durante el periodo nocturno se mantendrá el patrón ventoso en el país y también las precipitaciones en el Caribe y Zona Norte, acumulados entre 20-45 mm.

Se espera que durante todo el fin se semana se mantenga la afectación de dicho sistema generando fuertes vientos alisios en el centro y norte del territorio nacional, así como las condiciones nubladas y lluviosas en el Caribe y Zona Norte.

 Debido a lo anterior, el IMN recomienda:

  • Extremar las precauciones por vientos fuertes y su posible afectación de techos, cableado eléctrico, rótulos, árboles; así como en las partes montañosas del país (parques nacionales, volcanes).
  • Precaución para las embarcaciones por mar picado y muy fuerte oleaje en el Pacífico Norte, Golfo de Nicoya, Pacífico Central y el mar Caribe, así como a la navegación aérea por turbulencia sobre los sectores montañosos.
  • Evitar quemas de todo tipo ya que pueden salirse de control.
