Condiciones lluviosas vespertinas en el Pacífico y Valle Central

Diagnóstico: La actividad de la Zona de Convergencia Intertropical ubicada sobre Costa Rica, lo débil de los vientos alisios son factores que favorecen las precipitaciones vespertinas.

Pronóstico: En la tarde y noche se tendrán lluvias y aguaceros con tormentas en el Pacífico, Zona Norte y Valle Central, de manera más aislada en las montañas del Caribe se tendrán precipitaciones. Se presentarán montos de lluvia entre 15-100 mm en el Pacífico Central y Sur, montos entre 10-40 m en el Valle Central, y entre 15-60 mm en el Pacífico Norte y montañas del Caribe.

Advertencia: Especial atención debido a alto porcentaje de saturación de suelos en el Pacífico Sur y Zona Norte.

Debido a lo anterior, el IMN recomienda:

  • Precaución en zonas con vulnerabilidad a inundaciones por saturación de alcantarillado. 
  • Refugiarse en un sitio seguro en caso de escuchar tormenta eléctrica o percibir fuertes ráfagas de viento cerca de las nubes de tormenta, así como precaución por posible caída de ramas de árboles, tendido eléctrico entre otros.
