Lluvias esta tarde en el Pacífico Sur y Central

30 de diciembre de 2020

Diagnóstico: Debido a la disminución de los Vientos Alisios en el Mar Caribe, la Zona de Convergencia Intertropical -localizada en el Océano Pacífico- se ha acercado a Costa Rica, aportando humedad desde el sector marítimo a las regiones del Pacífico y el Valle Central. Esto favorece para la presencia de lluvias esta tarde en estas regiones.

Pronóstico: Durante esta tarde se esperan lluvias dispersas de moderada intensidad a lo largo de la costa del Pacífico, con montos entre 10mm y 20mm hasta máximos 40 mm y 60 mm de forma puntual; parte de estas se pueden extender al oeste del Valle Central donde los montos 1mm y 5mm hasta máximos 10 mm. Se prevé que las lluvias continúen presentándose hasta primeras horas de la noche.

Por el contrario, en las regiones tanto de la Zona Norte como del Caribe, predominará el cielo parcialmente nublado, con baja posibilidad de lluvias para este día.

Advertencia: Especial atención en el Pacífico Central y el Pacífico Sur debido a eventos fuertes de precipitación que pudiera ocasionar incidentes de inundación puntuales.
