Aviso Meteorológico Informativo

Atmospheric disturbance in the Caribbean Sea close to becoming a tropical cyclone

October 30, 2022
2:00 pm

The atmospheric disturbance that the National Meteorological Institute (IMN) has been monitoring continues its development and has increased its chances of becoming a tropical cyclone.

According to the National Hurricane Center of the United States (NHC for its acronym in English) these probabilities are 90% in 2 days and 5 days. According to the current projections of the trajectory and intensity of the possible cyclone, it would not have a significant impact on our country, however, the numerical models still show significant uncertainty. As part of the follow-up, this notice will be updated daily or when necessary and the information regarding our country will be incorporated.

Due to the above, the IMN recommends:

Be attentive to the issuance of informative weather warnings that are published in:

Next information notice: tomorrow at 11:00 a.m.
